Yoga and meditation, central London. Daria Darmaniyan

Hi, I am Daria. Thank you for finding me!

Since early childhood, I was drawn to movement. Whether I was hiking mountains, competing as part of the swimming team, taking dance classes or simply going for long walks, I felt free, alive and healthy.

Ten years ago, I had a back and a hip injury, resulting in pain, lack of movement and loss of feeling in my right leg. Losing the gift and the opportunity to move was my biggest fear and I devoted myself to rehabilitation, and soon after, Yoga.

At the time, I was working in a corporate firm, directing strategies for high-end clients in the art & design sector. I was traveling across continents, helping build some of the biggest cultural moments today. The free time I had in between, I would dedicate to my Yoga practice - I was hooked, as I was experiencing positive change in my physical and mental health.

This has led me to study and teach Yoga, excited to support my students in their wellbeing, healing and growth, as well as build a community of like minded individuals from across the world.

I know what it’s like to work with an injury and I remember what it feels like to be a new Yogi in the room. I also understand the drive and excitement, as well as stress that comes with working on big projects - it doesn’t have to be one or the other, and you don’t need to give up your job to be able to find time for yourself. I knew I didn’t want to quit the creative sector, so I continued freelancing.

In addition to my passion for Yoga, I find being near the ocean and in the mountains medicinal. However, a night of dancing can do wonders for me as well! I find inspiration in creativity - art, design, cooking, literature, music - my curiosity and will to learn knows no boundaries. Traveling brings me genuine joy and I welcome adventure with open arms. As someone who has lived in five different countries, I come from an international background and love meeting new people.
